HYPERHYDROSIS
Hyperhydrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating. Patients who suffer from
hyperhydrosis generally have inappropriate sweating that interferes with their personal and professional life.
Areas commonly effected include the underarms and the palms and soles.
Treatment can be undertaken in one of two ways.
1. Botox can be used with tiny injections in the area of concern. After 1-2 weeks sweating
usually reduceds 60-90 percent for 6-9 months. The actual treatment takes only minutes to perform.
2. In the underarm area a laser can be used through a tiny incision to disable the sweat
glands for a semi-permanent to permanent result.
