FRACTIONAL LASER RESURFACING

C02 resurfacing technology allows us to literally resurface a layer of skin while tightening
the skin at the same time. Resurfacing with the C02 laser allows us to refinish the very outer layer of skin, or
the ability to take out very deep wrinkles from the skin without the risk of surgery. C02 technology can be used to
safely remove non cancerous moles, resurface acne scarring, remove age spots and scars to near
perfection.
FAQ
Are there any side effects? Your skin will appear slightly raw
immediately after treatment. Redness will subside 2 days to 6 weeks after treatment depending on treatment
intensity. Patients are asked to stay completely out of sunlight during the appropriate healing time for their
procedure.
How long will the procedure last? Generally the procedure will last 2-5
years depending on the patient.
How does the laser work? The laser targets the water in each skin cell.
Upon contact the laser effectively vaporizes the skin cell. Over a broad area this allows the physician to remove
the unwanted wrinkles and blemishes. The C02 light energy also effectively heats the underlying collagen and
creates a dramatic uplift in collagen production and facial tightening after the procedure.
How much time does the procedure take? A full face treatment will take
about 40 minutes. The total office time will be about 1.5 hours.
Is laser therapy painful? Most patients will describe a 3/10 level pain
during the procedure. Topical anesthetic, injection anesthetic and oral sedation are all available to minimize
discomfort.
